FIRST MARTHA YOUNG AWARD PRESENTED AT JANUARY 9 CEREMONY
Canyonville, Oregon... Charlene Paramo and the Family Development Center Parent Relief Nursery will be the first recipient of the Martha Young Award. Charlene and the family Development Center Parent Relief Nursery is receiving the award because of the organization's outstanding service to the children of Douglas County.
The Award is given in memory of Martha Young, the founding Director of the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation, who stood up for children throughout her life.
